What is a Patient Care Technician?

The Patient Care Technician is a valuable member of the Allied Health Care Team. Because of the increasing shortage of trained health care professionals, hospitals are often using the Patient Care Technicians to handle patient care that was previous handled by other medical professionals.

The Patient Care Technician course is at the Manhattan Institute is designed for the Nursing Assistant/Aides who wants to move in their present employment - or improve their current skills and employment ability. The Patient Care Technician course is a comprehensive 120 hour course.

Can out-of-state students study in your school?

Yes, we have many out-of-state students who pursue study at the Manhattan Institute. We do not charge out-of-state students a higher tuition. Our Midtown Manhattan location makes it easy for students from the tri-State area - Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, and even Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania. We have had students from all over the United States study with us. New York City is a great place to live, and even a better one when you pursue an education - at the Manhattan Institute.

Can a foreign student study in your school?

Yes, the Manhattan Institute is approved to accept foriegn students and can help you obtain an I-20 student visa if you qualify. We do not charge foreign students higher tuition. Our New York City location gives our foreign students a wonderful opportunity to take in all the culture and wonders Manhattan has to offer, while pursuing their education.

Is the Manhattan Institute a college or university?

No, the Manhattan Institute is not a college or university. We are a NYS licensed and nationally accredited career school. Our classes are career-focused and feature both classroom and practical education. We think you'll like the difference!

Do you offer student housing?
